This year's opening concert for Oslo Early offers something brand new. Plague, Peace & Party is a collaboration between Barokkanerne Baroque Orchestra, Finnish Baroque Orchestra and Ensemble Caprice from Montreal, Canada. The result is a concert inspired by the global situation over the last few years with musical reflections on humankind's endless struggle against illness and plague, yearning for peace, and ability to celebrate that which – after all – is good.

A total of 24 musicians from all three ensembles present a wide variety of baroque music, and also include some folk music elements from their respective countries.

Two soprano soloist from Canada and Finland will join in, as will the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle player Ragnhild Hemsing.
