Election platform

I am a theologian, who have worked in Church and in the Swedish schools system before becoming a PhD fellow at UiO.

Two of the areas which are near and dear to my heart is

  1. Promoting academic freedom
  2. Working to ensure mental health and a supportive work environment.

Academic freedom

Academic freedom is the cornerstone of any university's commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and proper research ethics. It involves safeguarding the rights of faculty and students to engage in intellectual debates without fear of censorship or retaliation. In an increasingly polarized society, we need to evaluate and reinvent robust policies and procedures that protect academic freedom and increase transparency regarding influence from political or commercial interests.

Mental health and a supportive work environment

Addressing mental health and wellbeing is essential to ensuring that students and staff can perform to their best potential. As overload is a reoccurring challenge among UiO staff, I would like to make sure that sustainability and balancing professional and personal life is continually put on the agenda. Also, we need to continually see to that the faculties evaluate and work with psychosocial factors that determines the work environment, such as allowing the ARK surveys to turn into practical plans of action.
