What you need to do:

  • Send a confirmation of submitted application to your immediate supervisor.

When you apply for attendance allowance, you will receive a confirmation of the submitted application, which you should send to your employer. This document confirms that the application has been sent and the dates the application applies for. You can find the confirmation by logging in to nav.no.

It is important that the documentation you send does not contain any sensitive information.

  • Notify of changes

The confirmation sent to your employer does not contain information about whether you will receive 100% attendance allowance or if you will combine attendance allowance with work. Therefore, it is important that you notify about this, and also keep your employer updated about any changes during the period.

  • Notify of vacation

You are not entitled to attendance allowance during vacation. Therefore, it is important that you notify both NAV and your employer if you plan to take a vacation. Here you can read more about vacation and attendance allowance.
