Nordic SPARK projects meet the Silicon Valley ecosystem

SPARK Nordic visited Silicon Valley at the end of April. In total there where 19 participants from SPARK Norway and SPARK Finland. The purpose of the trip was to introduce the Nordic SPARK projects to the opportunities available in Silicon Valley and give them the opportunity to build their own networks and market understanding.

Centre for Pandemics and One-Health Research at UiO has opened 

The center gathers expertise from the University of Oslo in collaboration with a number of other institutions to improve Norway's pandemic preparedness through interdisciplinary research and research training.The new centre has been supported by UiO:Life Science.

Laid the foundation stone for the Life Science building

4 May the foundation stone was laid for Norway's most modern, largest and most important building for research and innovation in chemistry, pharmacy, biosciences, medicine and life sciences. The life sciences building will be ready in 2026. 

 

The University of Oslo annually awards five prizes for research, young researchers, education, dissemination and innovation. Two of the winners have been involved in three of UiO:Life Science' convergence environments, Kjetil Taskén in Personalised cancer therapies (PERCATHE) and Dag Kristian Dysthe has been involved in both Artificial Biomimetic systems – the Niche of Islet Organoids and Integrated technologies for tracking organoid morphogenesis (ITOM)
