My Studies


Available in App Store, Google Play and at minestudier.no?

Log in

Image may contain: Font, Rectangle, Brand.When you log in to My Studies, you can choose to let the browser remember you by checking "Stay logged in". The login will last until you manually log out, delete cookies or the service requires a new log in.

We recommend to use this feature only on your own computer or mobile.

My Studies does not require you to create a new account or use any different login method than the one you already use for other IT services (Feide).

Messages

Mine studier collect messages from your study programme and courses.

You will receive messages from:

  • The Canvas rooms you participate in
  • The scheduling system when classes are canceled or changed

At UiO you will also get messages from uio.no: 

  • your study programme's webpage
  • your programme option's webpage
  • the semester pages of your course 

All messages are merged in chronological order.

Notifications 

If you have downloaded the mobile app and opted in for notifications, you will receive push notifications in the app when there are new messages in My Studies. Additionally, you will get push notifications when classes are canceled or changed.

You can choose which subjects will send you push notifications by selecting "Notifications" in the menu.

Schedule / Calendar

The schedule shows exams and teaching for your courses, and submissions you have in Canvas.

Exams in your schedule

Time and place for exams are shown in the calendar for the courses you are registered to.

Note this about the calendar in My Studies:

  • Oral exams can be marked in the calendar, but you will receive further information from the department about what applies to you when the exam is approaching.
  • Information about special exam arrangements is only displayed in Studentweb.

Classes

The schedule shows the classes you are registered for.

Assignments in Canvas

The timetable shows assignments from the Canvas rooms you participate in. The calendar shows the deadlines with a link to the assignment in Canvas.

Shortcuts

Shortcuts gives you links to useful services in your studies. You get a standard layout of the most popular shortcuts the first time you log in, but you can edit and choose which shortcuts you want at any time. You can also add your own shortcuts. Press "Edit" to change your shortcuts.

Studies

Under studies you will find your study programme and programme option in addition to the courses you are registered for.

Checklists


As a current student, you will receive a concise, personalized checklist with all the recurring tasks for the start of the semester.

If you are a new student, you will get a more comprehensive checklist at the start of your studies, containing all the essential tasks you need to complete. You will also find your study start program in the timetable, including both academic and social activities (UiO).

UiO: Individual adaptation, leave and absence

At UiO, you can apply for individual adaptation, leave and absence through My Studies. You can find these options under "Studies."
