About Sympa
The mailing list system that UiO uses is called Sympa (Systeme de Multi-Postage Automatique). Sympa is based on open source code and is freely available (under the GNU GPL license) and is supported by e.g. by CRU (Comité Réseaux des Universités / Universities Networking Committee). Local adaptations
As the source code of Sympa is available, it has been possible to make local adaptations of the software. We submit the local adaptations of Sympa that may be useful for others to be integrated into the Sympa project.
USIT offers management of e-mail lists for the HE sector
The service that can be ordered is the same stable and user-friendly service offered at UiO.
