Documentation requirements for Ghana

Important about documentation:

  • Upload documents preferably in PDF or JPG format at the online application system (S?knadsweb) within the application deadline.
  • When uploading documents, you acknowledge that the University of Oslo may contact the issuing institution for verification.
  • Submission of fraudulent documents is illegal, and will be reported to the proper authorities and may lead to dismissal and loss of right to study. Your are liable for uploading true and unaltered documents.
  • If admitted, you must bring your original documents with you as you might be asked to present the documents to the University. Failure to submit documents on request will lead to dismissal.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Required education:

One of the following qualifications meets the education requirements:

  • West African Senior School Certificate (from 2006) / West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (1993–2005) with at least 6 subjects of which English, Mathematics and Integrated Science (named Science before ca. 2000) must be passed + 1 year university education
  • West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education, Ordinary level (O level) / School Certificate + 1 year university education
  • West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education, Ordinary level (O level) / School Certificate + West African Higher School Certificate GCE Advanced level (A level) with 3 A levels

All diplomas/certificates must be issued by The West African Examinations Council

Passport and English proficiency

Documentation of English language proficiency Applicants from Ghana are exempt from an English test.

Upload officially certified documentation of name change if name appears different in any document.

Secondary education

West African Senior School Certificate (from 2006) / West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (1993–2005) (see additional details above) + 1 year university education

or

West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education, Ordinary level (O level) / School Certificate + 1 year university education

or

West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education, Ordinary level (O level) / School Certificate + West African Higher School Certificate GCE Advanced level (A level) with 3 A levels

Upload a copy of original certificates or results slips + copy of a scratched scratch card for verification using the online services that the WAEC provide (make sure we can read the numbers).

Before uploading, make sure that your results are available on the WAEC website.

Name the pdf or jpg file secondarymarks.
