Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. 

Bring your laptop and learn how to build your personal reference library in Zotero, importing sources from catalogs and databases, and sources you already have. You will also learn how to easily cite and generate reference lists in Word.

When writing an academic text it is important that you know how to cite your sources. This course teaches basic referencing techniques such as quoting a text, writing citations and reference lists, and using images.

Get a fundamental understanding of how to use Python programming and an introduction to simpler tools such as Voyant and DH-Lab apps to text mine corpora.
