Welcome to this course in Linear Optimization (also called Linear Programming)! The messages on this course page will be given in English (due to a request from an international student). There are two Compulsory projects: your report should be given to Bj?rn Austenaa (teaching assistant) by Febr. 13 and March 27, respectively. Now, you may ask: what is LP (linear programming), who invented it, what can it be used for? The short answer is to read the 2005 article in The Washington Post (see link here).
