Hi all,

Here is the example sheet 1. It is mainly on Couette flow and Poiseuille flow, which Vira will cover Tuesday next week. But I'm uploading it now just in case some of you want to have a look early.

Hi everyone,

There were some requests yesterday for course information that we went through in the slides on Tuesday. Here is a link to the slides.

The textbook we are following is "Viscous Fluid Flow" by Frank White. There are a number of editions, but all are essentially the same.

We will be going through topics in chapters 1-6. There is a preliminary list of specific sections we will cover on slide 4, but this may be adapted as we go. The most important for you is to cover the topics that we discuss in class. Our lectures follow the book quite closely, so we recommend that you read at least the sections that are covered in lectures (our lecture notes will be posted here on the course page).

For next week, we will be switching the exercise session and the lecture. So on Tuesday we will begin lectures on Chapter 3,...
