UiO does not have a data processing agreement with Apple. That means you can't sync your Notes with Apple's cloud service iCloud.
Much of the program's functionality is lost if you have not set up synchronization with iCloud. Due to the lack of a data processing agreement with Apple, you should instead use Microsoft OneNote with synchronization to Microsoft 365.
