To help you prepare for the exam, I have compiled a solution manual to most of the exercises in the book. With the exception of Chapter 0 and 14, these have all been either mandatory exercises or have appeared on the exercise session during the past eight years. They are therefore all good preparation for the exam. If you encounter any mistakes, please be so kind as to report them back to me at georgmu@math.uio.no .
Today's exercise session in numerical linear algebra has been canceled due to illness.

Due to an unforseen event the lecture Thursday Aug 23,10.15-12 is moved to Friday Aug 24 15.15-17 in room B1036 on the 10th floor in the Abel building. Only this one lecture is moved.
The old exams are now available on the main course page, together with a document describing when you should be able to solve the individual exam questions. The syllabus is as described in the teaching plan, which can be found on the main course page as well.
